We're not alone.... Schnuppe has just posted up a video of her throwing herself into some snow (odd behavior?!?).... to which a few people replied that they didn't realise she was a girl. Very thoughtful of the German site to include 'sex symbols'. 
Tell me, did the Probe 'make it' (excluding individual imports) into Poland's neighbours (apart from Germany)? |

Not quite sure what you mean... I think something is lost in translation...(unless you are messin' with me ).... let me back up a bit.... was the Probe sold by Ford in Poland or were all your Probes imported from elsewhere? If they officially were sold in Poland, were they sold in any of Poland's neighbours other than Germany? |

no, they weren't sold in poland. they were all imported. and i don't really know about other neighbours than germany. 
and the film... hmmm...
maybe it's because i'm a girl as well but i had no problem with recognition Schnuppe as a girl in this video |

no, they weren't sold in poland. they were all imported. and i don't really know about other neighbours than germany.

No, me neither, but my mistake was BEFORE I saw the video.
I'm guessing that if all Polish Probes were imported, then probably any Probes in the the neighbours (except Germany) were as well.

I guess (and I only guess) that maybe the regional economies at that time weren't suitable for the Probe. The Probe is considered to have been over-priced even in the UK when they were available new.
I'm curious because a Ukrainian Probe owner in the UK was very surprised that I'd seen a Polish plated Probe in the UK (surprised enough to suggest I'd misread the plate  ).... so I was trying to work out how far East Probes had gotten. |

You can't give them away in the UK... Probes are financially worthless  You'd pay no more than equiv. to 1000 euro for a 2litre... I myself bought my 16v for equiv 3000 euro about three years ago. I bought my 2.5L a year ago for equiv 800 euro (okay, worse example Probe, higher mileage). Shame the Europeans drive on the wrong side (;) ), otherwise I could start a Probe export business!! |

I don't know how things are spec'd in Germany.... we only have the 16v and 24v plus extras. I think the things that put the prices up are aircon and leather seats and obviously mileage. If you are willing to take a risk through Ebay, you will get a very cheap Probe. if you wanted an FPOC UK member to inspect a car for you, I'm sure that that could be sorted out.

No, no, we have the steering on the right way, it is you that has it wrong (Historical fact: Traditionally, armies marched on the left hand side of the road... I guess if any army didn't fancy a fight, they would just march by each other... but Napolean made his armies march on the left so that if they came across an enemy army, one would have to stand aside which never happened, so they were forced to fight. So you can blame the French.)
I'm not sure what you are asking here.... if you asking me if there is a legal requirement to put the steering wheel on the right hand side, then the answer is 'no, you don't have to'. My dad a German left hand drive and drove it here for years. I would *imagine* that there is no legal requirement to swap it over in Poland because that may be classed as a barrier to export within the EU, which would probably be illegal.
If you are asking me the practicalities of converting a from one side to the other, erm I would say it is a big job, if not impossible. |
