Spot the deliberate mistake... Napolean forced his armies to march on the RIGHT hand side. 
Anyway... I'm sure it is neither practical nor economical to convert one. You would need a trashed Probe to donate the necessary parts....
Would you still use a right-hand-drive Probe in Poland... if the price is right?
What are you requirements? Leather?, aircon? cruise? |

three years ago i was in ireland for three months and i noticed that slowly but gradually i was getting used to 'the other side'  i guess it's just a matter of accustoming 
when i came back to poland and i wanted to cross the street i was looking for the car approaching me in an 'irish way'

i don't think so. i would have to spend a lot of time 'learning to drive' that car.
but on the other hand... everything is possible.

i used to drive 1st gen GT. i just want to have the same feeling when i speed up. leather? could be but not necessarily. aircon - yes.
and the engine in a good condition. i know it's a matter of the previous owner mainly (i mean the way he/she has driven the car and looked after it), that's why i don't want to hurry and check everything before i decide.
could you explain what you mean? i'm not sure i get it right  |

I lived in Belgium for awhile.... but went back to the UK at weekends... I used to just look both ways, it was the easiest way.

If your Gen 1 was turbo'd then I don't think a stock Gen 2 is going to feel the same... ofcourse you could add your own turbo.
I have a soft spot for the gen 1 but generally I don't think they are particularly well-liked in the UK. They were never released here.

I don't know about petrol costs in Poland but they are horrendous here... currently circa 1.2 euros to the litre and that has come down by %15 over the last few weeks... was 1.5 euros recently.... anyway, the economies of the 2litre are a good reason to buy it in the UK. If your petrol is not so expensive then it maybe doesn't matter. From my own personal experience my 16v was more reliable than my 24v, but that could be just me.
I wouldn't be without cruise control... one of the main reasons why I got my 24v. |

Actually most UK owners that have expressed an opinion class the Probe as a grand-touring cruiser rather than an out and out sports car. It's a bit too heavy for a sports car and it should really have been rear-wheel drive . Having said that, you might not beat the 'hot-hatches' from the lights, but you will pass them eventually, because the Probe just goes and goes!! |

ok, i agree it's not comparable to a typical sports car but on the other hand it's not an everyday seen car. at least in poland. there are many of them, i admit, but they are either from one of our clubs (.net or .pl) or in such a bad shape that it's obvious that the driver doesn't enjoy the ride.

Mine was in such a bad shape but I'm slowly sorting it out... or my garage is, at least!!! Some people have immaculate Probes... this is probably the finest in UK in terms of cleanliness + power (200+BHP I think WITHOUT Turbo, Nitro, etc).....

Actually, there are more powerful Probes, but usually turbo'd or NOS added.... this is I think the most powerful using all the bells and whistles... it suffered a fire awhile ago, but I think it was getting rebuilt....
